RAIN @ FLOODrisk 2016
Dominik Paprotny from the Department of Hydraulic Engineering at Delft University of Technology presented some of his work done in RAIN project, entitled “Extreme sea levels under present and future climate: a pan-European database”, at an European flood research conference. The open-access conference paper can be found here. The accompanying datasets on coastal flood hazard can be downloaded here from the 4TU Centre for Research Data, along with other RAIN datasets.
The 3rd European Conference on Flood Risk Management (FLOODrisk 2016) was an opportunity to discuss the results with researchers working on similar studies and attend to the different sessions where the latest flood research in Europe and beyond was presented. The conference included a total of 232 presentations from over 400 attendees who gathered in Lyon for this event that is organized only once in 4 years.
